ISOLATION OF 1-EICOSENE FROM THE LEAVES OF BAPHIA NITIDA

Abstract

1-eicosene was isolated from the chloroform extract of the leaves of Baphia nitida. The structure was established using 1H, 13C, COSY, DEPT, HMBC and HSQC NMR, and by comparing the data with literature reports. Key Words: Baphia nitida, 1-eicosene, Nigeria
